Comparative evaluation of an AI-based scanner-agnostic add-on utility versus conventional karyotyping software

Artificial intelligence is rapidly transforming cytogenetic analysis, enabling laboratories to improve efficiency while maintaining diagnostic accuracy.

This study evaluates a scanner-agnostic AI add-on utility designed to integrate with existing imaging platforms and automate karyotyping workflows.

The results demonstrate a significant reduction in metaphase analysis time compared with conventional software, supporting the use of AI-assisted tools as a cost-effective strategy to modernize cytogenetic laboratories and improve turnaround times.
