Feasibility and Toxicity of Interval-Compressed Chemotherapy in Asian Children and Young Adults with Sarcoma

The outcome of children and young adults with sarcoma has improved dramatically with the use of systemic chemotherapy in the context of multimodality treatment. In spite of these improvements, there is still a need for better therapy for sarcomas. In this study, where molecular diagnosis of fusion genes was performed using FISH, the authors demonstrated that interval-compressed chemotherapy is feasible in treating Asian children and young adults with sarcoma with tolerable toxicity.
